The foundation
People are made in the image of God. AI is not.
Artificial intelligence can generate language, images, analysis, and recommendations. It does not possess human dignity, a soul, moral agency, spiritual authority, or relational calling. Scripture provides the standard by which Christians evaluate the worldview assumptions, outputs, risks, and uses of AI.

Why we started
The questions facing Christian schools began in our own home.
AI Scholars began as Jim and Krista Acuff considered what artificial intelligence would mean for their three young sons.
Jim brought three decades of experience in technology, including leadership roles at AT&T and AWS. Krista brought the perspective of a career educator who understood how emerging technologies affect classrooms, teachers, and student learning.
As Christian parents, they recognized that the challenge was larger than learning how to use new tools. Families, schools, and churches needed a shared biblical standard for evaluating AI: one that protects children, preserves human dignity, strengthens learning, and prepares students for the future.
That realization became AI Scholars.

The founders
Jim Acuff
Jim brings three decades of experience in technology, including leadership roles at AT&T and AWS. He works on the technical realities of AI systems, tool evaluation, and what responsible adoption requires of an institution.
Krista Acuff
Krista is a career educator who understands how emerging technologies affect classrooms, teachers, and student learning. She works on curriculum, educator practice, and communication with families.

The school, home, and church model
Children encounter AI in every part of life. When each setting answers differently, young people receive mixed expectations about truth, integrity, safety, and responsibility. The three settings should reinforce one another around the student.
